Kids Hope USA builds life-changing relationships one at a time.
One Child. One Hour. One School. One Church.
WHAT IS KIDS HOPE USA?
Kids Hope USA equips a church to build a partnership with its neighborhood elementary school by providing faithful mentors to children who need a caring adult friend. When kids feel loved and valued, they are better able to learn grow and succeed. We are pleased to partner with Eastbrook South Elementary School.
WHAT DO MENTORS AND STUDENTS DO TOGETHER?
Mentors and students (K-6th grade) play games, work on school work, talk, make crafts and read together. The focus of the meetings is to build relationships together not just complete tasks. Mentors meet one on one with their student for one hour each week.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
BECOME A MENTOR
All mentors must attend Upland Community Church and complete online training through the national office of Kids Hope USA as well as one on one training with Laura Bowman, Kids Hope Director at Upland Community Church.
BECOME A PRAYER PARTNER
Each mentor is paired with a prayer partner that commits to praying for the mentor and student each week as they meet.
