I was born and raised in Indiana. Blessed with Christian parents, church has always been a central part of my life. Jesus saved me when I was five years old. I graduated with a nursing degree from Cedarville University in June of 2001, and I married my high school sweetheart, Diedra, two weeks later. After she graduated from Grace College (Winona Lake) with a Psychology degree (2003) we moved to Dallas so that I could attend Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM, 2007). 

After graduating, we stayed in Dallas five more years—working in surgery at Baylor University Medical Center. We moved back to Indiana in 2012, accepting a call to UCC to be the Pastor of Adult Ministries—a role that allows me to help people discover and celebrate the Truth, Goodness, and Beauty of God and His Gospel. I served in this role and as Associate Pastor for a total of 10 years before taking the role of Lead Pastor in 2023. Diedra and I have four amazing children: two daughters and two sons. We enjoy reading, eating, traveling to new places, and being with people.
