A Day of Repentance? (Joel 2:12-27)

Sermon questions for further discussion

  1. If God initiates repentance, how should that affect our prayers for others? For ourselves? For the world?
  2. God tells the people that He will restore the “lost years.” How might this inform the way we look at what is “taken” from us?
  3. How are you determining when to “encourage” and when to “lead someone toward repentance”? Why is it tragic to fail to discern the difference?
  4. How are you protecting yourself from letting “spiritual blindness” lead you into “spiritual bondage”? Where might your theology be accommodating “idols” or incorporating sin?
