What do you do?
I’m the Kids Hope director, which means I recruit, train, and support mentors as they meet 1-1 with students each week at Eastbrook South Elementary.
What do you love most about your job?
I love when mentors and students are matched and relationships begin to form!
A little bit about your background?
I moved from northern Indiana to Upland in October 2018 when I married my husband Ben. I have been an elementary teacher for 6 years (5 years in kindergarten and 1 year in 2nd grade). I currently am a substitute teacher and enjoy the flexibility that comes with not teaching full time.
What are some of your favorites?
Spending time with people, playing board games, reading, walks with my husband, organizing, summer sunshine, chocolate!
