Purpose and Vision

At Upland Community Church, we believe in lifelong learning. Our educational programming invites believers to a buffet of courses aimed at cultivating the Christian’s head, heart, and hands. Under the guidance of gifted teachers, these classes foster thoughtful discipleship, theological clarity, and intentional connection as we seek to glorify God and grow together in faith, hope, and love. In faithful response to Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension, we are committed to seeing the gospel shine through all aspects of life.

The Discovery Class

Room: EC1

The Two Tims: A study of Paul's letters to Timothy, exploring timeless wisdom for faithful Christian living, church leadership, perseverance, and godly character. This class will continue its discussion-based format with shared leadership, as members take turns facilitating each week's study.

Faith and Technology: The Forum is a discussion-based class. This fall, the class will examine the broad topic of technology, including AI, smart devices, and their social, moral, and generational impacts.

Sin, Grace, and Growing in Christ: Exploring the biblical doctrines of sin, salvation, and sanctification, examining how God's grace transforms believers and shapes a life of faithful discipleship.

Harmony of Faith & Science

Room: EC4 & 6

Christianity and the Created Order: This class explores the relationship between Christian faith and scientific discovery, tracing the development of modern science, examining topics such as the age of the earth and climate change, and considering evidence for fine-tuning and intelligent design. The goal is to deepen appreciation for God's creation, strengthen faith in Christ, and foster thoughtful, humble conversations about faith and science.
