Pastor of Adult Ministries

I grew up in Ohio as a pastor’s kid, so church life has been part of my world for as long as I can remember. I met my wife, Erin, while we were in high school at Miracle Camp, and a few years later we both attended Taylor University. Erin grew up at UCC, we were married here, and during my Taylor years I served in the youth ministry and began to sense God leading me toward pastoral ministry.

After Taylor, we moved to the Chicago area, where I earned an M.Div. with a Pastor/Teacher focus from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (’09). I then served for five years as a youth pastor in Wauseon, Ohio, followed by more than a decade of pastoral and Christian school ministry in South Florida.

In 2026, our family made the full-circle move back to Upland, and I joined the UCC staff as Pastor of Adult Ministries. I love helping people take meaningful next steps as disciples of Jesus and find their place in the life of the church. Erin and I have four children, and I enjoy traveling, golf, sports, and time with family.
