Terri grew up in the Chicago suburbs, attended Taylor University, and graduated with a degree in psychology in 1985. It was during college she met her husband, Phil Collins, currently a professor of Christian Education at Taylor University. After 16 years of assisting her husband in youth work, she found her calling in children’s ministry when she was hired as the Elementary Director at UCC in 2000. For the last 20+ years she has been passionate about strengthening the body of Christ and helping children grow in their love and knowledge of the Lord. 

One of her favorite things about being in her position for so many years has been watching children grow into adulthood to love and serve the Lord. There are even some who bring their own children to UCC. She is blessed to have two amazing grown children, Luke and Katelyn, and two grandchildren. It is her delight to serve with her daughter, Katelyn Rodman, who is our Basics Director.
