Dan Blosser, Lead Pastor
I was born and raised in Indiana. Blessed with Christian parents, church has always been a central part of my life. Jesus saved me when I was five years old. I graduated with a nursing degree from Cedarville University in June of 2001, and I married my high school sweetheart, Diedra, two weeks later. After she graduated from Grace College (Winona Lake) with a Psychology degree (2003) we moved to Dallas so that I could attend Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM, 2007). After graduating, we stayed in Dallas five more years—working in surgery at Baylor University Medical Center. We moved back to Indiana in 2012, accepting a call to UCC to be the Pastor of Adult Ministries—a role that allows me to help people discover and celebrate the Truth, Goodness, and Beauty of God and His Gospel. I served in this role and as Associate Pastor for a total of 10 years before taking the role of Lead Pastor in 2023. Diedra and I have four amazing children: two daughters and two sons. We enjoy reading, eating, traveling to new places, and being with people.
Mark Biehl, Associate Pastor
Mark served as the Lead Pastor at Upland Community Church for 14 years before taking the role of Associate Pastor in 2023. Both Mark and his wife, Dianne, grew up in Urbana, IL attending high school and the University of Illinois together. They were married in 1983. After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Mark practiced as a veterinarian for 22 years while serving in a variety of leadership positions in local churches. In 2003, he sold his practice to enter Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After seminary, Mark completed a two-year Ministry Residency at College Church in Wheaton, IL before accepting the call to pastor at UCC. He and Dianne have three married children and nine grandchildren. Mark enjoys walking, hiking, camping, listening to his grandchildren, and learning how to repair everything he breaks.
Bryton Albright
Bryton grew up in rural Indiana. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. While there, he met his wife Emily and they were married at Upland Community Church in 2017. That summer, Bryton answered the call to pursue vocational pastoral ministry. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2020, Bryton came on staff as the Worship Pastor at UCC. Since moving back to the area, the Albrights have been blessed with two delightful sons: Isaac Eugene and Samuel Ryan. Bryton loves spending time with his family, reading, and working on projects around the house.
Matt Owlett, Youth Pastor
Matt grew up near Hershey, Pennsylvania and met his wife, Julee, at Baptist Bible College. They were married in 2010 shortly after graduation and have six awesome children. Matt received his M.Min. from Baptist Bible Seminary and has served at Living Hope Baptist Church for 5 years as youth leader, the West Kittanning Grace Brethren Church for 3 years as youth pastor, and at Mount Calvary Christian School for 7 years as Director of Spiritual Life before coming to UCC in 2022. Matt and Julee are passionate about discipling teens to make their faith their own and building those spiritual foundations that will help them stay faithful to Christ for many years to come. Matt loves spending time with his family camping, swimming, playing games, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys!
Terri Collins
Terri grew up in the Chicago suburbs, attended Taylor University, and graduated with a degree in psychology in 1985. It was during college she met her husband, Phil Collins, currently a professor of Christian Education at Taylor University. After 16 years of assisting her husband in youth work, she found her calling in children’s ministry when she was hired as the Elementary Director at UCC in 2000. For the last 20+ years she has been passionate about strengthening the body of Christ and helping children grow in their love and knowledge of the Lord. One of her favorite things about being in her position for so many years has been watching children grow into adulthood to love and serve the Lord. There are even some who bring their own children to UCC. She is blessed to have two amazing grown children, Luke and Katelyn, and two grandchildren. It is her delight to serve with her daughter, Katelyn Rodman, who is our Basics Director.
